SEO Case Study: IPL 2026 Blog Optimization (Digiviron)

Project Overview

In this project, I worked on building and optimizing a sports blog focused on IPL 2026. The goal was to create a strong SEO foundation, improve visibility on Google, and set up a system that can bring consistent traffic over time.

Objective

Improve organic visibility

Challenges

When I started, the website had:

No clear SEO structure
No keyword-focused content
No internal linking between pages
No traffic-focused pages
Basic, unoptimized layout

Strategy I Implemented

1. Content Strategy (Topic Cluster Approach)

I created a structured content system instead of random blog posts:

A Prediction Blog to target high-intent keywords
A Points Table Blog to target high-volume search queries

This helped balance authority content with traffic-focused content.

2. On-Page SEO Optimization

I optimized each page by:

Structuring headings properly (H1, H2, H3)
Placing keywords naturally within content
Adding a FAQ section for better search visibility
Improving readability so users can easily understand the content

3. Internal Linking Setup

I connected both blogs using relevant anchor text:

Linked prediction content to the points table
Linked the points table back to prediction

This improved:

Crawlability
Overall SEO strength

4. Data Presentation Improvement

To make the content more useful and engaging:

I used a CSV-based table system for the points table
Ensured the table is clean and mobile-friendly
Made updates easy for future match changes

5. Technical SEO Setup

I handled the basic technical setup by:

Submitting pages in Google Search Console
Requesting indexing for both blogs
Ensuring sitemap is properly submitted

6. Initial Traffic Activation

To kickstart visibility, I:

Shared the blogs on LinkedIn and Facebook
Created initial engagement signals
Brought early attention to the pages

Results

Both pages are successfully indexed on Google
Google has started crawling the content
The site is now structured for SEO growth
